We are looking at the Graphing Calculator Guidelines and are having trouble understanding why ELIs are used in a couple of the Samples. In Sample 9 (starting on page 36 of the guidelines), spaces need to be included in the X, T, θ, n keystroke due to the commas. In the braille sample (pg 40; lines11, 16 and 20), they include ELIs on the X and n and I don’t understand why since it doesn’t seem as if they would be considered single-letters according to the Nemeth Definition of “Single Letter.”
Thank you for your time.
