The Mary Archer Scholarship Fund

The Mary Archer Scholarship Fund was started with monies donated to NBA in memory of Past President Mary Archer, who died in 2009. Mary was a devoted advocate for those in the braille community, and one of the many hats she wore during her lifetime was that of teaching others how to produce quality braille. This fund ensures that spirit of teaching will continue.

About the Fund

The Mary Archer Scholarship Fund is used to provide scholarships equal to the amount of the cost of registration to those attending an NBA conference for the first time. There will be a maximum of two scholarships offered for any one conference and scholarships will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.

The NBA kindly asks that those of you who already have the benefit of your employer or other resource paying for your conference registration forego applying. This will leave the scholarship funds available for those who pay registration with personal funds.

The application process for the Mary Archer Scholarships will open when conference registration opens. Stay tuned to our blog for announcements regarding our conference.
