Webinars

We believe training should be available to those who need it, and we know not everyone can afford to travel for conferences. In recent years, the National Braille Association has been providing online training to braille transcribers and teachers of the visually impaired who want to learn from the comfort of their home or office.

The majority of our webinars are free and open to the public. A few times each month we conduct webinars on an array of topics that last only about 15 minutes each. All the webinars are recorded, and while live attendance is open to the public, current NBA members have full access to the archive of all the free webinars we’ve ever offered.

The videos listed in this section are all replays of free webinars that we’ve hosted. The replay of these trainings is available only to current NBA members.

To view the archive for each section, click the title of the skills area you’d like to view. Within the list of available videos, you’ll find a link to each individual title. Click that link and you’ll arrive on a page dedicated to that title where you can see a description, the presenter, the date it was presented, and watch the video in it’s entirety.

The National Braille Association conducts a few webinars each month on a range of transcription topics. The majority of our webinars are completely free and don’t even require registration. All you need to do is the hit the “join” button a few minutes before the start time and you’re in!
