The National Braille Association (NBA) is a member-supported nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing excellence in braille. Founded in 1945, NBA has served the braille community for more than 80 years through education, professional development, and technical support.

Through a variety of educational initiatives, we provide training and professional development for braille transcribers, teachers of students with visual impairments, paraprofessionals, prison braille programs, production facilities, and others involved in braille preparation.
By ensuring that braille readers have access to high-quality braille materials, our work ultimately supports literacy, education, employment, and independence.
