Hello,

How do you transcribe ‘ S1 = S2’  in Nemeth Braille, and which rules apply to this expression? I couldn’t find the rules for this. Duxbury shows the baseline indicator instead of numeric indicator for the numbers.

See rule 24.1. The multipurpose indicator (dot 5) is placed between letters and numbers to indicate that the number is not a subscript.

So…cap S dot 5 1 = cap S dot 5 2
