When a book has an hierarchy of publishers, for example

 

HOLT, RINEHART AND WINSTON

Harcourt Brace & Company

or

HOLT, RINEHART AND WINSTON

an imprint of Harcourt Brace & Company

is it necessary to include both on the title page in the publisher’s segment.

There is no rule about this.

I asked a couple people and everyone agreed that they would not include the imprint information.
