I just opened your original post that can be found here.
You didn’t do anything at all to break forum rules. However, the security software that protects our website from attacks probably flagged that post because of the number of hyperlinks included. Again, you didn’t do anything wrong by including those, but the software assumed that kind of post was spam.
In the future, don’t hesitate to reach out sooner if you don’t get a response to a post. That one was sitting there in limbo and I was able to go in and push it through.

There is no requirement for waiting before taking the NBA Braille Formats Exam. Once a student feels confident they are ready, they can take the Formats Exam.
The NBA Braille Formats Exam can be taken as many times as an individual needs, but after three consecutive failed attempts, the individual must wait one year before their fourth attempt.
For individuals sitting for the exam who are incarcerated, there is a protocol in place that requires the use of a proctor. Give a call to the office when you have a moment and we can chat more about that protocol and how to get them going on the exam.

You can search the forums, but we don’t have an easy way of implementing a search by a topic so you won’t be able to narrow it down. If you go to the main page for the list of groups, in the upper right hand corner of the page you should have a “search” field. That will look at all the forum groups and provide results from all of Ask An Expert.

In the braille for the web address the number sign required for the number 2 initiates grade one mode, so no contractions follow.
If you are using WORD and need to insert the long dash here is what you need to do:
enter 2015 and then alt+x. This will insert a long dash in WORD and DBT will transfer it to the right symbol when imported.
The checkmark in UEB is dots 5, 146 and can be found in section 8.3 of the Guidelines for Technical Material.
There is no general reference indicator in UEB. The BANA Braille Formats Committee will be addressing this issue in the update.
